Padman is based on Twinkle Khanna’s book The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which is inspired by the life of 'Arunachalam Muruganantham' - an Indian entrepreneur and inventor, who made a pad-making machine for women to provide them low-cost sanitary napkins.
The film is directed by R. Balki.
